Tilaa believes in an open internet. By default, we do not filter or block any traffic to or from your VPS. You have full control over your own firewall tables.
Incoming Traffic (Ingress)
All incoming ports are open. We do not put a firewall in front of your server.
- If you cannot reach a service (e.g., Webmin on port 10000 or SQL on 3306), the issue is likely in your local OS firewall (
ufw,firewalld, or Windows Firewall).
Outgoing Traffic (Egress)
All outgoing ports are open, with one specific security exception regarding email.
Port 25 (SMTP) Restriction
To protect our network reputation and prevent spam abuse, outgoing traffic on Port 25 is automatically blocked for the first 8 hours after a new VPS is created.

How to lift the SMTP block
- Wait: The block is lifted automatically after the initial 8-hour cooldown period. You do not need to take any action.
- Request Unblock: If you have a legitimate reason to send email immediately after deployment, please email support@tilaa.com. Explain your use case, and our team can manually remove the restriction for you.
