When you order a VPS with cPanel, Tilaa automatically provisions a license for your server IP. In most cases, this works instantly.
However, if you log in to WHM and see a "License Error" or "Trial Mode" warning, your server might not have synchronized with the cPanel licensing servers yet.
How to force a license refresh
You can manually force your server to check its license status. This resolves 99% of license errors.
- Log in to your VPS via SSH as
root. - Run the official cPanel license check command:
/usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt
Output:
If successful, you will see a message like: "Update succeeded". You can now refresh your browser and log in.
Still getting an error?
If the command above fails, the license might still be in the provisioning queue.
Provisioning Time:
While we strive for instant activation, final license verification can sometimes require manual validation by our team.
This process is performed 7 days a week between 09:00 AM and 08:00 PM (CET). If you ordered outside these hours, please run the command again the next morning.
