You can increase (upgrade) or decrease (downgrade) your VPS storage capacity at any time via the MyTilaa dashboard.
Important distinction:
- Increasing storage: Your data is safe. A simple reboot is required to apply changes.
- Decreasing storage: Due to technical limitations, this requires a fresh install. All data on the VPS will be permanently lost. Please create a backup first.
Quick Steps:
- Go to VPS > Select your server.
- Click on Resize Server.
- Adjust the slider to your desired storage capacity.
- Confirm the changes (and acknowledge data loss if downgrading).
Step-by-step Guide
-
Navigate to the VPS section and click on the server you wish to resize.
-
On the VPS Overview page, click the Resize Server button.
-
Choose your new configuration.
Select the desired amount of storage space.- If you increase space: No re-installation is needed.
- If you decrease space: A warning will appear indicating a fresh install is required.
-
Confirm the changes.
Review your choice. If you are downgrading, you must confirm that you understand all data will be lost. Click to finalize the process.
Note: After increasing storage, don't forget to reboot your server to make the new space available to your operating system.
