Tilaa's Hardware: Everything You Need to Know

In this article, we'll take a closer look at the hardware that powers Tilaa and how we prevent downtime on our end.

Hardware Requirements for Optimal Performance

We focus on key elements like CPU power, RAM, disk speed, and disk capacity to ensure optimal performance. Our configurator is designed to automatically adjust these elements in harmony. For example, when you increase the RAM, the CPU also increases to maintain the perfect balance.

Redundancy and Spare Hardware: Ensuring Stability

We prioritize redundancy and have spare hardware at each location. This means that if a hardware emergency occurs, we can quickly respond and minimize downtime. Our spare servers are connected and ready to go, ensuring stability across our platform.

Our CPU of Choice: Intel Xeon Gold

We use Intel Xeon Gold CPUs with a speed of 2.70 GHz for their stability and reliability. Each physical host has multiple CPUs, guaranteeing continued performance even in the event of a hardware failure.

Fast and Reliable Storage: Enterprise SSD Disks

We use Enterprise SSD disks for their speed and reliability. Our storage system is based on a RAID 10 configuration, ensuring that if one disk fails, the others will take over without any downtime or impact on your end.

In case of an emergency, we keep hot spare parts on each physical host to minimize disruption.

We prefer local storage over central storage systems for its faster performance, better reliability, and improved read/write capabilities.

Power Backup: Ensuring Continuous Performance

All our physical hosts are equipped with a battery backup and a double power supply system. This means that if the power goes down in the data center, our battery packs will take over seamlessly, without any disruption to your VPS.
